    FreeStyle Lite glucose meter

So what does everyone think of the FreeStyle Lite glucose meter? I have been finding a lot of great information about this product lately and wanted to see what others thought of it at the forums. We have had a lot of good reviews at our site, but I never get to talk to these reviewers one on one.

My sister swears by her meter. It works faithfully and she has never had any issues. It takes accurate readings and she would never be without it. I have personally never used one, so I can only give second hand information.

Thanks for the reply happyday, I was just going over a handful of glucose meters for comparison and was really amazed at how much smaller the FreeStyle Lite Meter really is. I can see why people seem to be so happy with it.

I used this meter in the past but I didn't find it gave me enough information. It may have improved since then, so please don't take my word for its performance. I did find it fast and accurate and easy to use.

This one is new to me. Can you get it in Canada do you know? I always like to have a look at new meters to see if I would like them better than the one I have now.

I see that the FreeStyle Lite is capable of testing on the palm, but if you have hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) or if you have hypoglycemia unawareness, they do recommend only testing on the finger. That does limit your test sites especially if you use an insulin pump.

@Amber, did you use the FreeStyle Meter or another model? I believe the FreeStyle Lite Meter.com website has some detailed information, the most available online with some great pictures as well.
